I'm ready to buy it right now. You can pirate it or I can try to stream it to you online.
We can gchat video call each other(or tinychat or whatever) and be workout buddies. When you have a buddy you always work out!
Only issues for me is it would need to be early AM EST like 9. I need consistency.
I was just gonna start lifting and running, but I do so much better with a structured program.
It's not p90x, just power 90. I don't know how effective it is. I know p90x is amazon results for people looking to get very low body fat because I know people who have done it to great success. (the before and afters they show you are not doctored. I've seen it in real life). I have that but I'm too out of shape. I need to drop some pounds first. I'd be happy to go into that next as well.
I can stick to things if I get into a routine. I hit the gym religiously and enjoyed it for 8 months getting amazing results until my friend's schedule changed.
A buddy will help me get through the initial "oh I don't feeeel like it" phase.
Anyone up for it? Hoping to start next week. I've already started eating better.
You can probably get it all for free online. I haven't looked yet. If I can't find a good copy, I'll just buy it in the morning.

You can lose weight by just eating healthy. Your post indicates you're just trying to find excuses.

What? I'm very knowledgable on weight loss. The program in and of itself is not enough exercise to lose much weight. Someone like me would lose some, but not as much as I could through diet alone.
The reason why an exercise program is beneficial is that it contributes to your weight loss in calories burned (which means you can eat slightly more) and it promotes a healthy lifestyle.
You start to feel better and it makes changing your habits easier. I don't inted to do this and become magically thin. I intend to eat at a caloric deficit while doing this.
When I'm done this, depending on my level of fitness, I will start to run/lift or maybe do p90x (though that's very intense).
My goal is to improve my fitness. I would love to take up running, but I feel self conscious. Any fat person can agree to this.
Just because I have diffiukty going to a gym doesn't mean I shouldn't do something.
I could just diet, but the success rates for long term loss are infinitely higher for those who exercise and diet over those who just diet.
Thanks for opening your mouth where it wasn't needed though. This might help some people understand what this is about.

See, you already have the wrong attitude. And your defensiveness only supports my point.
But thanks for the multi-page dissertation though

No. To lose weight you need to create a deficit.
You can do it through exercise alone, through diet alone, or through a combination, so if you diet and exercise you don't need as large a caloric deficit from food. You can eat more and still lose weight. You can't eat more than your caloric needs and expect to lose weight, but that SHOULD be common sense.
As always, I am right and the trolls are wrong. Winning.

Cool. What's your availability? I don't quite know what it is like yet. P90x was 6days/week for an hour. This is lighter exercises at 35-40ish hours, but I don't know how many days.

Working on it. It's difficult. The site is very shady. The company has good products but follow typical fitness fad marketing plans (they also push supplements which you don't need.)
Give me a bit. Work picked up, but once I find a detailed overview or PDF of it, I'll let you know.
It's designed for people not in great shape. I know that much.

Ok. There are a few phases. It's 6 days a week for 30 minutes a day (basicially the amount of exercise you should get a week). From what I gather, it's mostly cardion with core strengthening exercises. I saw an ab workout on the web site and they had the typical "for a flatter stomach" but it's just part of the workout. Usually that kind of thing screams waste of time to me. Doing crunches doesn't make you lose stomach fat. It makes you bun some fat from whatever part of your body it uses.
The program looks good. A few different cardio stuff. It's much lower production value than p90x, but people (real people not dummy shills) say it's good. I frequented some weight loss and fitness sites in the past and mostly good things were said.
It's intensity ramps up at your pace (I think). More fit people complain it Ian intense enough. A good amount say the two workouts get boring (lol running is always the same).
Some of the intense workouts run 40 minutes or so, and I think you get there in 30-60 days. The program lasts 90 days. You can then move on to the master program, p90x or redo the power 90 program or any number of things if you want. This is what people I've read about have done (legit or seemingly very legit people).
I'm gonna give it a try. If you are still interested, let me know. I should still have your email and I'll hit you up with my normal email address.
