Topic: I can't get into skyrim for some reason!? help?
Anonymous A started this discussion 13 years ago#30,604
For example when its time to choose if you flee with the imperials or those rebels, i feel that none of them are that
good to flee with. I get into that village and i am asked to go to some king and tell him to send some troops to protect
the village.
The feeling is so vanilla. I want hardcore armor and weapons but it seems as if that is impossible. I tried to make
some money by making some daggers as i was advised to do but darn it, you buy the materials and then make the damn
daggers and sell them but they don't even cover about 50% of the cost of buying the materials.
I wanted to be a wizard but i have learned its a pain in the ass, to be able to use those cool as magical weapons you
have to collect soul gems? Screw that. Oh man i really want to get into skyrim i feel i am missing out on so much.

My first character was a dark destruction and conjuration mage. The first thing you want to do is ignore the main quest where you see the Jarl of Whiterun as this initiations dragon attacks (unless you do not mind). Then take the carriage near the stables to Winterhold where you can apply for the college. Doing all of their quests will eventually give you a place in the arch-mage's quarters and everything necessary to magical development. Don't worry about soul shards. The more you do quests the more you'll find them, but make sure you do the quest with the Azura's Star and take it to the elf guy in Winterhold to get The Black Star. The game will tell you that it can only trap black souls, but it can really trap both black and white souls making it a far superior version to the regular Azura's Star item. Both items serve as an unbreakable soul gem used for enchantments and charging. The downside is that you still have to fill them up. Remember, for better enchantments, you need greater or grander souls. I have so many soul gems in my inventory and chests it's not even funny.

B-but... Azura will be mad at you!
She's such a nice lady, it's not right to be mean to her like that.

it takes a while to level up weirdo have you ever played an rpg jeez
it's not even that difficult to get to like 30 and have cool armor
im pretty sure an update prevents just making a bunch of daggers to massively raise your smithing abilities
it's really not that hard to start up it's kind of a huge game is all
