No, you need an X chromosome; you need at least one. There are "supermales" who are XYY, but the X chromosome is indispensable. Why? The information that the X chromosome carries isn't all linked to sexual differentiation, and those parts that aren't linked to sexual differentiation are important developmentally. Hence the whole "nature's default is female" thing.

No. The X chromosome carries a lot of important info. Women are lucky to have two, in case one is bad. That's why something like 7% of men are colorblind, but it's extremely rare in women, because the genes necessary for color vision are on that chromosome. But it would also not be possible because every egg carries one of the mother's X chromosomes, and every sperm has either the father's X or Y chromosome. Since every egg has an X chromosome, it would be an impossible combination.
