Found this while looking for good swing/big band music. These are popular songs of the 1940's with new lyrics authored by the Reich Propaganda Ministry, and covered by Charlie and his Orchestra. They're actually not bad*, I kind of like Karl Schwendler's voice and the music is really top-notch. The real irony is that swing was banned in the Third Reich, because it was considered "negermusik". This was propaganda aimed at Britain and America, designed to demoralize them. Volume one and volume two, about 40 MP3s.

I'm actually really curious. I would recommend Louis Prima, but his relationship with Keely Smith and her later career is a bit of a "What fucking period are you looking at?" for me.
