I really think that Obama is doing the best he possibly can with the shitstorm that was tossed in his lap. The Bush Administration is mostly responsible for the downfall of this country, starting a huge war on fixed evidence (Still don't get why we are in Iraq, other than Bush Sr. failed there and Jr. tried to one-up him.), needlessly spilling the blood of thousands of our troops and innocent civilians, straining international relations, refused to ratify the Kyoto Protocol, rejected an anti-ballistic missile treaty with Russia, held over 500 people of 35 different nationalities at Guantanamo Bay in Cuba, without access to any court, legal counsel or family visits, a violation of the Geneva convention, redistributed wealth from the middle class upward to the very wealthiest families in America with two tax cuts which gave the biggest benefits to the top one per cent (those who earn more than $337,000 annually- certainly nobody posting on this site...) And lets not forget the Patriot Act, where the federal government was given enormous powers to invade privacy and intrude on basic freedoms which had been guaranteed to Americans for over two centuries. Halliburton, was handed a $7 billion contract, non-competitively, to repair Iraq's oil infrastructure. (The former CEO of Halliburton is none other than former vice-president, Dick Cheney.)
