Topic: Which are some of the craziest Christianity sects?

I've been to a Quaker meeting before. You just sit there for an hour, unless 'the spirit' moves you (a better explanation is that you don't like silence). What are some crazier ones?

All of them are pretty crazy, but my favorite is Catholicism: Jesus is the fucking cracker. And also a creepy-ass cracka

Pentecostalism sounds mental. They speak in tongues and roll on the floor.

Any sect that believes in a literal interpretation of Genesis is pretty batshitinsane in my opinion.

To me, they are (paradoxically) more sane, because they're at least trying to take the book seriously. The liberal, moderate Christians are the crazy ones saying "yeah we don't, like, *really* believe in this book but we keep it around anyway and pay lip service to it".

Yeah, I think that's the problem. Sometimes old stories are just old stories meant to convey meaning rather than a literal history. It's possible to maintain faith and a sense of spirituality without having to believe that every word of some ancient text is literal truth. Jews and Catholics don't even take all that shit seriously.

Aghori are pretty fucking crazy.
> They are, for instance, known to engage in post-mortem ritual cannibalism (necrophagy), urophagia and coprophagy
> they also often dwell in charnel grounds, have been witnessed smearing cremation ashes on their bodies, and have been known to use bones from human corpses for crafting skull bowls (which Shiva and other Hindu deities are often iconically depicted holding or using) and jewellery.
> The Aghoris indulge in extreme ritual worship practices known to some extent as tamasic. (Rituals involving some or all of the following: meat eating, alcohol drinking, consumption of beverages and foods with opiates – hallucinogens and Cannabis products as key ingredients (non-Aghora sadhus have also been known to use Cannabis) – cannibalism, residing in cremation grounds, and taking part in tantric sexual rituals.)

Better to look at it historically, see the chart.

I personally like Mormonism because it says Yahweh is an alien who came from the planet Kolob. It's basically like if Giorgio Tsoukalos wrote the bible.
