Topic: can you clip a cat's claws?

Like a dog's nails? Or do they for some reason have to be declawed? I refuse to declaw cats, it's cruel, they amputate up to their knuckels. But it'd be nice if I could trim the hooks off.

Yes, they can be easily clipped. My Maine Coon cats are docile and put up with it.

There's a fancy cat claw too which is something like a sander. I heard clipping them might shatter them so they have to by sanded.

one thing to remember do NOT cut where the nail turns whitish
