I had an endoscopy a little while ago, and they warned me that if I saw blood in my stool, I would have to go to the hospital. After doing my business, I looked down and saw what looked like blood in my stool, so I did what any self-respecting lady would do and reached in to investigate. I wasn't prepared for what I found, which is pic related (not the quarter).

There were about 5-6 orange strips that roll in on themselves. In the picture, they're rolled up, but they have a roughly uniform size. I think they're plastic because the water didn't do anything to them, and it's difficult to pull them apart.

So, fora, what do I do? Wait and see if any more strips turn up? Call the doctor (I'd rather not, because then I would have to explain to my mother how I found the strips, and I would rather not admit to chunking apart my own feces)? What do you think they are?
