Topic: My face when taking a shit.

I was going to make a video of me shitting on a book, but this turd was feisty. I almost called 999 to request a caesarean. Anyway, here is a photo I took while I was processing one of these beasts.

@OP
Please don't take this the wrong way, but I think your earlier photography was more inspired.

In your first defecation face photo, the lighting is crisp and clear, with you staring right into the camera, right into the viewer's eyes. In the present photo, the motion blur makes eye contact impossible, giving the picture an evasive, nervous, and distant quality. In the earlier photo you're holding a hammer, suggesting (de)construction or perhaps violence but the hammer is also held off to the side, suggesting confidence and relaxation despite sharing such an intimate and private moment with the viewer.

Also, compare your pose between the two pictures: in the earlier photo, you lean forward, but not aggressively so. The posture is almost like that of a close friend leaning in to share something in confidence. In the newer photo you are scared, angry, leaning in to the viewer with veins bulging and a clenched fist. Overall, this new photo is off-putting and is too nervous and violent for me. I much prefer your earlier art. Thanks.

I think perhaps this newer work is a statement about your changing housing situation. In the earlier photo, we see a man whose home is his castle: inviolable and secure, his island of sanity in an insane world. In the latter one, we see a man who is about to forced into the streets, hounded to the ends of the earth by typicals who do not (and cannot) understand his peculiar genius. In this situation, given that we all, on some level, tend to solipsism it must inevitably be asked: who is the typical in this situation? In the artist's mind, he is the only sane man in the asylum and we cannot dismiss the validity of this worldview out of hand. Which side of the padded walls are we, the audience, really on? Perhaps the asylum is there to keep us out.
