I am serious this time. I am going to get a PhD in an Asian language, at a highly-ranked (pronounced as one word) university somewhere in Southeast Asia. Thanks.

I am interested in preserving some dying Asian minority languages. Also, mastering an Asian language can only help my academic CV if I do return to the States.

Ask yourself, do you really believe anything he says?
