They really are. I have owned a set in the past, and they make high efficiency, upright ones that are really top notch.

They're okay I guess. Appliances are like computers: all the major brands are more or less the same, but people develop stupid loyalties.

My family had a GE washer/dryer set for 10 years and it performed adequately.
