I haven't had time to look into it. Does it only stream specific sites? Does it stream a unique stream or is it the exact thing you'd see on your PC? Like could stream YouTube HD from an old box that can't handle HD? Also, can it stream local files?? Pls answer some of those. Thanks.

It can stream from any app that uses the Chromecast API. (currently: Youtube, Netflix, GooglePlay Music TV and Movies. Pandora coming soon (or already out, not sure).)
It is a unique stream, pulled directly from the cloud. It automatically selects the highest quality stream up to 1080P.
And yes, it can stream local files as long as Chrome can play them but that feature (Tabcast) is still in Beta and only displays at 720p.

Wow, that really seems like a great little device for the money. They stopped the Netflix offer though, I guess demand was too high. I think I'll stick to my Wii for streaming as of right now, and see how the Chromecast shapes up. I should make a topic about how badass the Wii is when softmodded. Actually I'll do that now. Thanks for answering my questions btw.

I have shit internet and can barely watch youtube/streams on 480p. I wish I could watch stuff from twitch.tv in 1080p. Would this work for doing that? Probably not huh.
