Odds are you start your morning by waking up in air conditioned bedroom, drive to work in an air conditioned car, work in an air conditioned office, and then go back to your air conditioned house. And on the weekends, you will shop in an air conditioned store. ("You" in the preceding sentences doesn't mean you in particular, Walter, but anyone reading this.)
It doesn't matter if it's July in Death Valley or December in Anchorage, you will spend 99% of your time in a climate controlled environment.

so rude. the cold freezes pipes, stalls cars, makes all surfaces slippery, all the trees go leafless and bony looking, you need tire chains, if the electricity goes out people die.

Pipes only freeze if the infrastructure is shit, don't know anything about cars, sliding around on stuff is fun i pretend to be an ice skater, pine trees and they look amazing covered in snow

I disagree. All pipes should be insulated against freezing temperatures, particularly if they run by outside walls. No house is immune to freezing pipes, it's why they "winterize" vacant homes regardless of their age.
It's also why newscasts will warn you to leave faucets dripping on particularly cold days.

No, but there are insulating covers for the pipes, and heat tape. It's all part of the general maintenance when you live in colder climes.

I think you mean hydrated lol, but yes i drank lots of water and took short breaks every so often to escape the heat of the kitchen

no, i avoided heat stroke for now
in the past I cane close though, I remember this one time there was a large influx of orders and I lost awareness of my surroundings and my brain turned to slush and i became very dizzy and was about to pass out, my line manager was helping me and stopped someone to go get me some water then made me drink a load, that's the closest I've come to losing consciousness I'm the kitchen
except maybe on the 16 hour shift I pulled, I could barely stand up when that finished lol

A lower electric bill is a good electric bill. And wouldn't you like to walk outside and say "damn, it's just right"? Where I live, walking outside is always bad. It is either too hot or too cold. And that sucks. Also, a December in Anchorage sounds like great fun. You know how you Southerners go "muddin'"? We do the same on ice and snow.

Heat lightning is weird. It is soundless yet very bright, lighting up the entire region sometimes. Very pretty.

Huh, didn't know there's no connection between heat and heat lightning. I guess it makes sense because people are more likely to be outside late at night when it's hot? It is very pretty though.
