Topic: Does brushing your teeth cover up the smell of alcohol?

I need to work an extra five hours today with the morning people. I can't stand the 30-60 minutes that I have to deal with them every morning. Five additional hours where none of the usual people are here is not something I'm looking forward to. Time moves slow (its not as busy as night), and feeling really anxious makes time go by even slower.
I need some advice from alcoholics. If I take a quick break to "feed my cat" I could take a few swigs of jack and pour some in a bottle of coke to bring with me for when it starts to wear off. How likely is this to be noticed? I'm weird already and I avoid people. Will brushing my teeth erase the smell?

Brushing your teeth will temporarily remove the odor. Once it's in your blood your body will secrete it in your sweat, through your mucous membranes, or however it can. Kids who try vodka soaked tampons still get alcohol on their breath.
You probably shouldn't be drinking at work, but a few swigs probably won't be noticed. Strong mints, gum, or something fragrant can help mask the scent though.

Altoids can overpower a lot of smells. Maybe keep some on you just in case.

How noticeable is it? I'm not often around people who are drinking while I am sober.

idk how true this is, but people who aren't totally depraved alcoholics yet seem not to have the same problem with sweating alcohol all over the place even after drinking heavily. it's the total boozers who can't have a drink without smelling like rubbing alcohol.
