True, there is some small (relative to pre-1865 at least) slavery (especially sexual slavery) in America today. There are three major differences between the slavery of today and the past: 1) the slavery does not target one ethnic group, 2) the slavery is not culturally sanctioned, and 3) US law enforcement is actively trying to end and prevent it.
Law enforcement will always be imperfect, but they are doing the best they can and America is at least 99+% slavery free.
