Well what about the fact that the divorce rate is much higher in couples where the woman makes more? Woman say they want equal pay and it's OK to make more than their man, but at least on a subconscious level they despise men who are not at least as successful as they are. They see them as not being able to provide for them. So while many women, and even many men, think it's OK for the woman to be the "bread-maker" while the man plays the domestic role of "stay at home dad", these relationships fail more than any other because the woman wants out of the relationship. So men can't really be blamed for the fact that this gender role paradigm still exists.

Never getting married guarantees never getting divorced, bro.

I would love it if I made less than my partner. That would just mean more money coming into the house.
My girlfriend is very sensitive about this issue, though. She gets very upset at the thought of me making more than her. (I do make more than her) I think it's because she knows a lot of chicks who have shit jobs in their 30s and 40s because their husbands do all the work. She doesn't want that to happen to us, she thinks the women are lazy and it is wrong to not try to work for more.

If you're going to divorce, why get married in the first place? You're just backing up my point. I don't need a ring to know I am comitted to someone.
