Well, it is a great place to live. It has some really beautiful national forests. This is a really subjective question. It's not arrogant to think its the best country, its just an opinion.

Generalizations don't take into account anomalies, which is a weakness they have. Stereotyping is a good thing in the printing business, but not in the world of human beings. Not all people conform to one standard of being. I'm an American but would be happy in a country that has real freedom. I don't mindlessly worship the country I was born in, especially America. It's not a good nation now.

America is rapidly becoming a bad place to live. You are more likely to die in any form of government custody now than ever. Freedoms are being flushed down the toilet in the name of preventing the boogyman of terrorism. It's not crazy to realize you're under attack now more than ever. It's actually realistic. There are no freedoms. You are guilty before you are innocent. The press is run by the state and dictated by it as the powers that be see fit. There are fusion centers which collect massive amounts of data on every person, which is then used to create profiles for every person in the country. Is this freedom?

Upbringing, probably.
In public schools, at least the ones I went to, they did a bunch of patriotic shit. Mornings began with staring lovingly at the flag and saying the pledge of allegiance and singing a medley of folk songs about the flag. Even in high school, for a while, somebody sang the anthem over the intercom every Wednesday, and on 9/11 there was always a bigass display of patriotism. And I live in liberalville, CA. I guess after a while, it started to wear people down and they began to love Murica. Not all people, though.
