Coastal Beach Oregon is far far far more better then Washington State.

Lots of middle of Oregon is much like North Dakota from my perspective.

Washington State is ok but going North to BC Canada is far more better.

I would love to live in Vancouver, but I simply can't afford it.

And it seems like Seattle would be better for technology jobs.

Both have better people than California, though can be far more depressing on account of weather if you're sensitive to that sort of thing.

I come from Northern and Western European stock, so that isn't shocking. I have the skin of an Irishman which means I will burn up if I am outside for more than 15 minutes :(

Or it could because you're a big stocky guy? I'm quite skinny and am usually fine when other people are complaining about heat.

But the skin thing could indeed be genetics.

I can handle up to 80F without bitching. I think that's enough.

In places that actually get hot in summer, that could be considered a cool day.

Yeah. In places that don't get hot in summer, 80F is considered pretty hot.
