"A lot" is a vague phrase. When you ask what it actually means, I have found the answer can range from two fish to hundreds of fish.

Using my extensive knowledge as a professional fish counter, I would estimate that "a lot of fish" would probably refer to no less than 30 (thirty) fish.

I remember only having a few fish, then they double in just 2 days... They mates like crazy and I had way too many, so only a few is too many... especially if you're dealing with guppies.
