Topic: Do you like Spam (the meat product)?
Meta !PARAdoxiHw started this discussion 13 years ago #28,681 I must confess I do. I usually eat it for lunch because its so convenient and tasty. It doesn't need to be refrigerated or cooked, it's ready whenever you are. Everyone I know thinks it's disgusting, though. I guess it's like the meat equivalent of Twinkies in terms of perception. Also its cheap! Its really the perfect meat, and something that only could have been invented in America.
I even wrote a haiku about it:
Rectangle can
Full of porky goodness

Good after a few days with those freeze dried eggs which by themselves are not so much so good.
A few years at a street festival they had a huge van giving the stuff away and people just started laffing at the idea of eating it.
In Hawaii its still a bid deal for some reason.

The best haiku writers break that rule all the time.
