You ladies don't know what it's like to have to roll up your cuffs and tuck your shoelaces under the tongue just to take a piss. I notice womens restrooms don't have the same problems with standing urine and stains 3 feet up the wall.

I'm pleasantly surprised when I go into the men's public bathrooms and it's actually clean. I think "wow, this place sure is swanky".

Perhaps they like the idea of genders being less divided? They don't need to be transexuals to want this.
When I said "your posts" I meant in a broader sense (should've clarified this), like where you say that all transexuals are some sort of organised group with an agenda, or that just being transexual will make a person behave in a negative manner. Transexuals could so easily be swapped out for another minority that's faced discrimination, when this sort of reasoning is applied.

I was watching a Rhett and Link webisode where they were talking about going to a media production place with a unisex bathroom, and how later on they went back and the stalls had been designated 'men' 'women' because of the problem of men pissing all over the seats and floor. So this rule that men must be seated in council bathrooms would make sense, although it's obviously not at all enforceable. One would hope that people would be decent enough to follow the rule so as not to inconvenience others, but then again if people were like that there wouldn't be puddles of urine all over the place anyway. I remember going to a club once and someone had taken a sloppy shit on the seat of the only toilet and just left it there. My friend drank too much and had to put up with it when he went in to vomit.

What is up with this? This used to be a common occurrence at my college. Like, if you went into any stall there was a 50% chance that there would be piss on the seat. Goddamn idiots.
Though it seems to have improved quite a bit now that I'm in the higher education building. Odds are only about 20%, there.

The problem of disgusting bathrooms has nothing to do with men versus women. There are more than a few women who'll piss on seats because they don't want to sit and they can't be bothered to lift and lower the seat.
The problem is the classic tragedy of the commons we find in all public goods. With private property, the user is ultimately responsible for upkeep. With public property, maintenance and cleanup is always someone else's problem, so there's absolutely no incentive to be responsible beyond personal ego tripping.

Common courtesy is a form of ego tripping. It's just a way for one person to think they're better than another. In fact, without assholes the very idea of common courtesy would have no value whatsoever.
Restroom users are already being courteous by pissing in a designated location rather than just anywhere. Why is this not enough?
