I am trying to partition a three dimensional space into cells of equal volume with the least area of surface between them. I have been using a convex uniform honeycomb formed by truncated octahedra but have been considering using a Weaire–Phelan structure. Could you please discuss the advantages and disadvantages of such a plan.
