And by that, I mean like Britney Spears, Justin Bieber, Lindsay Lohan, Gary Coleman, Amanda Bynes, etc. Most of them came to fame with kids/family TV. I guess there are a lot of examples of adult celebrities who lost it, but it seems worse when people were famous at a young age. Is being famous bad for your mental health, or would Britney Spears have lost her shit and shaved her head if she stayed in the Alabama trailer park?

I imagine that having status, having more money than you need, and suddenly being an adult is too much for some people; they probably aren't surrounded by people who say no to them very often. I can see how that might snowball out of control.

Also, for every Lindsay Lohan or Amanda Bynes there are a lot child actors that don't flip their shit during their twenties.
