The Bittern at Banbury.

Yesterday I travelled on the steam train "Bittern" from Banbury, Oxfordshire to Paignton/Kingswear, Devon. Bittern is the sister steam train to "Mallard" who, 75 years ago, set the world steam speed record at 126 mph.

Yesterdays journey was a test in readiness to rerun the record breaking run between London and York.

A really great experience.
