Better than the US version of the Inbetweeners though.

The US Inbetweeners is surprisingly okay. Obviously not up to the standards of our version, but there's plenty of laughs in it.

It reuses lots of lines from the original, but tries too hard to cater to a US audience and ruins it. It was a funny show precisely because it was a good representation of UK teenage life (to an extent), a US version trying so closely to resemble the original was never going to work. I think if they completely rewrote it without the insistence on trying to keep the jokes and references from the original they could have had something good!
"Bus turds" epitomises this.

It's eerie how similar it is.

I thought most remakes referenced what they were remaking?
But yeah, it's not perfect. Though the civil war reenactment was pretty hilarious, though, and their version of Neil is quite good.
Didn't like the portrayal of Will at times, though. He was too successful with girls, though, like when that one girl said that she wanted to "rip his clothes off" sometimes. It clashed with what his character was meant to be.
