Those are boiling water reactors (BWR) of generations 3 and 4. Generation 3 appears to use U-235 (source) as its fuel, so it will have enriched material and would pose the most danger. Generations 3 and 4, however, were designed with much better containment vessels than previous BWRs, and especially better than the Chernobyl design.
From what I have read, those cores can be kept safe only with electricity to keep water pumps circulating cool water and to remove any hydrogen that builds up from the normal electrolysis behavior of reactors. I am sure that the non-trivial US Navy presence in Japan can solve this (if Japan can’t already, on its own).
