day one of her testimony. here she is discussing with the prosecution all of the various possible things that may have happened.
one of my favorite parts is when she explains that she believes that "coming after somone" means they are being chased. the prosecution then asks her if Alexander "came at her." she respond, "i don't know what you mean."
she is the one who said Alexander came after her in the first place when she was answering jury questions. Apparently she doesn't know the meaning of the things she says, she just says them. I love watching her lie, and then have the prosecution tear her story apart, so she can change her story to explain what really happened and why she lied about it. he was a filthy abusive pedophile control freak who beat her unconscious and forced her to be a sex doll and she killed him in self defense as he was beating her and probably thinking about masturbating to images of children (which the police found no forensic evidence of, by the way) and she didn't want to besmirch his good mormon name.
i think it's great fun watching her squirm under the weight of the evidence and the viciousness of the assault.
the police interviews were, like, so amazing. the interviewer was amazing. he let her dig deep deep holes, and then ask one simple question and she'd change her whole story. at one point they were discussing multiple hypothetical scenarios before narrowing it down to one implausible situation involving masked intruders and harrowing escape. hilarious. absolutely hilarious.

during her questioning her defense attorney pretty much just sat back and fiddled with his tie. the look on his face says "she doesn't need my help, she knows what she's doing."

so i guess now they have to have a trail to determine if she knew he was going to suffer or die cruelly or whatever they have to do.
I think it was just premeditated murder, she went there with a gun and planned to use it on him. i don't think she meant for him to die cruelly or suffer. i think she thought shooting him in the head would instantly kill him, like in the movies, but she used a .25 caliber round and pretty much just wounded him. then i think he was really hurt bad and was crying out and she realized he could survive and she needed to kill him more, so then she went and got the knife and started stabbing him, probably thinking, like in the movies, that if you stab someone they die instantly. unfortunately it's not as easy as you'd think it is to stab someone to death, and so as she stabbed him down the hallway she finally had to cut his throat so he'd bleed out and die before he could get to the front door.
That is why she brought her own gun, and used his knife. the gun just wasn't enough to put him down, and she had to act quickly and viciously to keep him from escaping. so i don't think she planned the stabbing part of it, necessarily, or the big mess. I think she shot him in the shower, which is why there is no "gunshot splatter." she probably figured the shower would catch the blood and keep herself clean.
