I say he should do as he wants. Parents have to choose their battles. It depends on his life. If that is his form of adolescent rebellion, and that is as far as it goes, then I think that is a pretty good deal.

I somewhat agree with you, although society doesn't typically grant minors the privilege to permanently modify their bodies in a way which will effect them for the rest of their lives, because we recognise that individuals must reach a certain age before being able to make those decisions.

I do not think that is the case. I think if he decides to take all that out, his skin will heal and reform to a normal size, or almost normal.

Incorrect. You can stretch your ears to a certain size and they will heal, but ears those big will not ever return to their original size naturally.
