i could see that, actually. as the earth warms the north thaws and will be more habitable. probably a lot more tolerable than the heat down south of canada.
also the northwest passage, a major shipping route, is opening up and iceland and greenland are in prime locations to exploit the benefits of heavy shipping traffic. iceland could become the new center of the world.
