I don't think I've ever met someone who didn't like the show, it's kind of weird to me. I watched all the seasons with a friend, but eh, I wasn't the hugest fan. I don't know what all the fuss is about.

I never really grew up watching any, so no, I guess? I'm sure there's some out there that I'd like, just haven't found them. I like the entire sci-fi genre in general, though. But I was thinking, is it that before battlestar galactica, most sci-fi shows out there were kind of shit, and BSG wound up being like a godsend? Maybe that's part of why everyone loves it so much? I dont even know.

No there are other great shows and movies that came out before BSG. Star Trek, Star Wars, Stargate, Farscape, and many others that some SciFi nerd like Walter can tell you. Battle Star Galactica is just a really awesome series in my opinion.

A lot of people like Firefly too but I couldnt get into it. I tried watching it again just now but stated watching battle star galactica again.

Yeah ok, and I can see how people liked it. I thought it was alright, had lots of cool shit, but also a lot of flaws and I just don't think it was a 10/10 show or anything. But yeah I'm not super huge on scifi shows, so that is probably why.

I tried to like firely, but ended up liking cowboy bebop which was much better, imo.
I didn't watch BSG at the time because I thought it was a Deep Space 9 type space station show with alien robots and gayness.
I was wrong.
