Overdose on pentobarbital, or nitrogen asphyxiation (or any inert gas, really -- helium works too and is easily available at party stores and stuff). If you go the first way, you just go to sleep forever, the latter route you just get lightheaded and pass out. (The sensation of "suffocating" is caused by CO2 buildup in the blood, not lack of oxygen so if you breathe nitrogen or helium, you wont feel anything except maybe some giddiness/lightheadedness).
Instructions for both can be found via Google, and helium asphyxiation can be accomplished by pretty much anyone with basic home materials (a trash bag, duct tape, and some plastic/rubber tubing).

Also send a letter via snail mail to your family/the local authorities explaining what you've done so the body can be collected before it has decomposed too much. It will take the letter at least a day or two so you'll have plenty of time to make your exit.

It's a controlled substance in America, but can be bought in Mexico (or other third world countries) with ease. If you're going to suicide, why not combine it with a vacation to Tijuana? I mean it's not like you can take your money with you anyway.
