I have a rooted nook with the Kindle app. Its just as good if nor better.

I have a Kindle Paperwhite. Forgive my ignorance, but what is "rooted"? Also, what are your impressions of the Nook? Why do you prefer it to the Kindle?

it is a powerful android device and if it is rooted then it allows you to run custom code, such as your choice of Android ROMs.
