I mean, how else do you think China funds our lavish lives and has enough money to just give it away to the US government? When their giant real-estate bubble bursts, we'll be fucked.

Since Walter is the one saying it, we can safely conclude that this is wrong.

So? Ben Bernanke will just print billions more dollars and Timothy Geithner will just mint a bunch of trillion dollar platinum coins to fund deficit spending! Problem solved.

Perhaps we should take some more tips from Former Rhodesia on how to deal with the US economy and demographics.

Going from $10 to $100,000,000,000,000 is amazing. The Fed should just print a $100,000,000,000,000 note and then we could pay for fifty Afghanistan wars.
Not to mention spending that single $100,000,000,000,000 bill would increase US GDP by like 500% instantly!

The land known as Zimbabwe now was first settled by Europeans from the British South Africa Company circa 1890. It was then named Rhodesia after Cecil Rhodes (who founded the DeBeers diamond company and the Rhodes scholarship). All basically went well until 1965, when the UK told Rhodesia that they could not become independent without majority (black) rule. The ruling party in the Rhodesian government, the Rhodesian Front felt that the black people weren't ready to take control of the country yet, so on 11 November 1965, they declared independence and basically went alone with only South Africa as an ally until 1980.
Rhodesia was ruled by this man, Ian Douglas Smith from 1965-1980 and then by Robert Mugabe from 1980-present. Under Smith's rule, Rhodesia was an exporter of food and industry boomed with the highest black and white living standards on the continent.
So yes, it was a British colony until 1965.
