The point is that there is no representation and no say in how the money is spent. Taxpayers can have a say, either directly or through an elected representative, about how tax money is spent, and that money is allocated in a publicly transparent way. When Guido stops buy to extort money from your business, you can't vote on whether he helps out a struggling children's hospital or buys some expensive new suits.
