I'm now comfortable enough with the readings to keep them all in one thread. So, if you would like a Tarot reading, please simply post here asking for one. It helps if you:
1) Pick a number between 1 and 77 (so that I know where to cut the 78 card deck and this gives you some control over the cards.)
2) Post a recent picture of yourself (if you are comfortable with that.)
3) Ask a specific question. If you don't have a specific question and you just want a general reading, simply don't post a question.

Based on what I'm seeing in the cards, the question is not so much "how long will it take" as it is "what do I need to do." You should also be asking yourself why you want a home there. I get a sense of nostalgia, like you once lived there or visited family there for a long time. The cards are telling me that you might move there, but that you need to appreciate what you have right now, first. I get the feeling there are people in your life now who you don't appreciate and you want to get away from them. I'm getting that "grass isn't always greener on the other side" kind of feeling, but I believe you can move their and be happy if you know what you're doing. I wasn't very clear in my definition of what makes a good question. The cards are meant to answer questions in regards to seeking guidance in your life, not predict the future, so questions like "How old will I be when I die" or "When will I be able to afford this car" do not work. I haven't timed myself, but I guess it depends, shuffling and placing the cards only takes a few minutes, but then I have stare at them for a while and get a feel for what they're trying to tell me, look up several meanings since I'm still new to it and learning, and then once I feel like I have the full picture in my head I have to type out my interpretations here and post it. Depending on how easily the cards make sense to me, it can anywhere from 20 minutes to an hour I guess. Faster if I'm doing it in person, and I'll get faster as I get better but it's not something I want to rush.

With tarot cards, you have to trust your instincts, so it's best if you just play around with them for a while first and get to know the cards before your technique gets tainted with someone else's ideas. Just buy a regular deck, whichever style looks and feels good to you, and pretty much all decks come with at least a little booklet giving you a brief introduction to how it works, what each card means, what each suit means, how to do a basic spread, etc. And then once you have at least a basic feel for it, and you know what works for you, then you might want to buy a book or two to get you introduced to some other people's ideas.

Since I'm learning, and I'm noticing a pattern in the readings where I've been told I was way off, I need you to do me a favor. I did two readings for you, and I want you to tell me which reading is more accurate, so that I can figure out which technique works best.
Reading 1:

You asked how to get your life sorted out relationship-wise, and your first and second cards are the Five of Cups and the Seven of Cups, Lord of Loss in Pleasure, and Lord of Illusionary Success. I haven't been in any sort of relationship but I have been after a guy for the past year now. I did invest a lot of time and effort into him trying to notice me. Most of the time it paid off and I thought I was very (very!) close to making it work but it never happened. Mean, desire, lust, vanity, and wrath could relate back to me as a person, 5 words that pretty much sum me up. The wishful thinking is very true, as the whole problem with our relationship was the fact that I'm gay and I think this man is a closet bisexual.

It could be that you don't believe. If you don't have a sincere interest in your reading, then it's probably not going to work, as you are the one projecting onto the card. Anyway, some people don't use inverted cards at all and turn them all upright, but sometimes, if you flip them right-side up and the image is upside-down (as in, the card is facing up but turned the wrong way around) that means it's inverted.
