In academic social justice, there is a term "taking up too much space". It refers to when a privileged person talks over minority people, doesn't listen, is too loud, acts in a manner that is intimidating, and just generally doesn't check their privilege in the door.

I think the way you men sit is a very good physical example of how privilege dictates how people interact with space and with others around them. Keep that in mind the next time you're at the park, on the bus, or even at home.
