I was talking to my one friend, complaining about women that only want to manipulate me. He told me it was because I'm "too fucking nice" and that "he should try to act a little more like me, and vice versa" WTF?

Cut me off from my friends (unless she was there to supervise) and my family (she refused to go most of the time, complained when she had to). Basically, I was only allowed to be not around her if I was at work, and she was pushing me to find employment that I could work from home. Of course, now I'm concerned that she's going to show up here like last time.

I have a hard time believing it myself, and why I didn't leave sooner, instead of staying with her for nearly four years. I could have my college degree by now, if I had just left her two years ago.

I've been thinking about it a lot lately, and I'm thinking the "women like jerks" theory has some truth behind it. Now, when I say all women, I don't mean all women. Probably not even 75%, but at least half like jerks. Now, if you ask any woman "Would you like to date a low life asshole who treats you like crap?" they would all answer no, to a woman. But that is what they consciously think. They consciously want a nice, sensitive guy, etc but underneath, subconsciously they want someone powerful, hardcore, mysterious, dangerous (ie a "bad boy").
And lest you think this is misogyny, it goes the other way too. Most men "want" a charming, sweet, girl with a good sense of humor, but what they really want, subconsciously, is a hot chick who is good at sex.

The only post I made that refers to me as nice, it's someone else saying it. The people referred to in this article think they are nice guys, but really are just looking for sex.
