It would be like Canada or England, demographically. The South would not have developed into anything significant until mechanized agriculture. America wouldn't be all uptight about race relations. Detroit would be a depressed city, but not nearly in as dire straights as it is today.

I can't see that happening, because in the 18th and 19th centuries, Russia and Poland were great kingdoms and quite powerful relative to England and the nascent America.
Sub-Saharan Africa was the best place to take slaves, because they were (and are) the least advanced and powerful continent. They were for all intents and purposes in the stone age until very recently.

America did have (and with H1B visas, arguably still does) have indentured servants, but that's simply a contract to work for x years. Quite different from being owned by someone else.

Scots-Irish is not the same as Irish. Many of Scots-Irish descent are actually the descendents of Scottish and English protestants that came to the Ulster region. And the Irish were seen as catholic scum.
