I have to get into this chemistry class held in june, but both sections of the class are full. I have to have this class in june or else my entire schedule is thrown to hell. I'm SUPPOSED to apply to the dental hygiene program in March of next year, but if I can't get into this class in june I will be set back a WHOLE YEAR. So basically I have to be glued to my computer until registration ends to try and see if anyone drops it and I can squeeze in.

That sucks. I hate registration difficulties. I dislike the not having a waiting list thing too, although I guess it gives you a better chance to get in if you're willing to check it all the time.

Yeah, and my school is fairly small so the classes only allow 22 people. I transferred there from a big university where classes were a lot larger, and when you had to do something like this it was a bit easier. I don't mind not having a waiting list, I just get so anxious- especially in this situation- about getting in.

I thought about that, too... but the most limiting factor right now is time. A few schools I have looked at have already passed the summer semester application deadline. The way my school offers these classes is Class 1 in June and Class 2 in July. That way I have them done in one semester. Class 1 is a pre-req of Class 2. I need to do some research, though and see if this is a possibility anywhere else.

As a 11 yr old kiddlet I needed to learn Algebra and Trig basic that is real fast in order to pass a serious hard to get even for adult Ham Radio license.
Teachers at my school wood not help after hours. They all fled in disgust.
So I walked in2 a high school after hours and found a math teacher. Got all I needed but that cost me. I end up in that high school and day one am transferred to that teachers class. Teach moved down a full year from advanced prep to basic just so I wood end up in class and teacher was more then extra tough on me- Expected more out of me - gave more and it did not good - Always expected even more.
That aside - I made it a point to later in first Uni classes to research who be the best - reason was the accident of taking a history class and ending up with a world class professor that changed my attitude on History classes- From then on I wanted only the very best and its funny how I often got wot I wanted.
Even drove 100 miles a day 200 R/T from Long Beach to San Diego to take a class - just the one - Had taken a prior class from same Prof but that was done by spending a full year in Boston Mass.
To end this tl;dr - years many many years later that Prof Irwin Jacobs was now a Multi Billion $$$ CEO and it took me a while to decide to join his company (failed the first try) but I got in nor wood use Prof to pave my way - had to do this one on my own - So I get in and all new Engineers get invite to a patio have a beer with the CEO. I said well sure Y not.
That did not cost me - Other then having to splain Y I took so long to join up - So from Prof to working 4 to later ending up as friends dinner guest - Now I have to decide if I am going to bang bang hit him over his haid re me disagree on how he is spending his own money on supthing two things that tick me off,

Locate Prof of class you want - no need to make appoint cause that may NOT Work - Just a meet n greet in his office with some research of when they are in. Appoit may lock you out may not but I wood not go that way - might work for you.
