Once they fully sequence it's DNA science could clone them. How bad ass would that be. Literal sub-humans. All those arguments about lesser humans different species would actually be relevant to neanderthal clones. What good laborers they could be. Stronger than us and more physically robust, we could work them like beasts of burden. Plus they'll likely be able to talk. they'd be pretty stupid, but how neat would it be to have a pet you could talk to. Yes, they'd be pets, or "slaves" if you'd prefer, they certainly wouldn't have human rights. What if they find positive genetic traits? Not all of course since its clear they were assimilated, but those traits that wood improve US if they could be put to use.
