After the glitch was discovered, it took a few hours for Bitcoin to be fixed, for the price to regain it's former glory, for bitcoin to aid Luke in his journey, and proves Bitcoin can handle the occasional glitch, something people were wary of before.

No. They have whatever value is placed upon them by "imminent collapse of the fiat money system" retards. Make more of those douchebags in the future, and Bitcoin goes up. Lose them and Bitcoin will fall. It's simple supply and demand.
The funny thing is, all of them, while promoting a currency backed by encryption technology, fail to acknowledge fiat money is also backed by a technology, namely guns! I'd say threat of force trumps the ability to hide, if only because the desire to hide indicates fear has already found you.
But we shall see. I've got some Bitcoins just in case I'm wrong. Of course, I never spend them. Which is not unlike all the other Bitcoiners.
