Galaxy S III does a good job too. The Note was a bit too FUCKHUEG for my tastes. As for keyboards, its not a free one, but I'd suggest swiftkey, best 4 bucks I spent.

It's not really the typing that bothers me, rather I hate the concept of texting. Most communication is conveyed through body language and vocal tone, so exchanging information through text misses put on a lot that you can only experience in face to face conversations.
Of course, this isn't a big deal when you're texting a grocery list or making plans for the evening. However, today's youth likes to text about everything. Our phones have replaced once meaningful, spur of the moment emotionally volatile discussions that occur in relationships.
