-- Set aside sections of the day to critically examine how privilege is working.
-- Put a note on your mirror or computer screen as a reminder to think about privilege.
-- Make a daily list of the ways privilege played out, and steps taken or not taken to address privilege.
-- Find a person of color who is willing to hold you accountable for addressing privilege.
-- Wear a white privilege bracelet.
Someone posted one to Tinychan. I think posted one on a Scatchan thread. Kook added the second. I posted them both here hoping Walter would do something hillariously racist.

You acted racist, and then hoped that someone else would be racist? wow.

Great idea. A note on my computer is good, so when I'm searching for a better job it will remind me of how privileged I am. When I go to an interview and finally get the job, I'll remind myself of how white privilege plays out in the hiring process, even though I've been rejected in dozens of interviews, I'm sure when I do find a better job, it will be because of my white privilege. When I wake up every day in my parents' house, it's important to remember how being white has played a role in my success. When I'm at work dealing with my black boss who can barely construct complete sentences, it's important to go easy on him because he'd probably make triple what I make instead of double what I make if it weren't for the white privilege all around him, holding him down, giving white folks like me all the advantage. When my brother is massaging his black clients, he should remember what a privilege it is to be able to serve them. This is especially true of white servers and wait staff who serve black people in restaurants. When my sister has to deal with gunshots outside her apartment, she should remember that her white privilege got her into such a great neighborhood, even though the majority of her neighbors are black, poor white people are never subjected to the same living conditions. I can't help but look up to our President for inspiration and think about what he could have achieved had he been given the advantages of white privilege. Well, I have to go. Gotta get up early tomorrow to take my white niece to her inner-city elementary school. I had to start driving her because too many black kids were picking on her on the bus. Probably has something to do with her privilege. Someday she'll learn.
