Democrats are constantly bashed by Republicans and vice versa, the media shoves it all down our throats and presents it to us, a HUGE BATTLE between the conservative, IGNORANT Republicans and the EVIL LEFT brainwashed Democrats; better pick a side!. Many of the Republican and Democratic legislation is exactly the same, but worded differently (in regards to how things are run, not social decisions of course). People make too many political decisions based on social BULLSHIT. Abortion; has nothing to do with how our country is run. "I like so and so because he is against gay marriage"; fuck you, go die in a hole and BTW welcome to 2013. "I like so and so because he is for gay marriage" -- that's great, but he's still a dumb ass and so are you.
Before you ask, I'm not going to give MY political viewpoint, because I have a split mind. I have my idealist opinions on a perfect and well-run society, and I have more more realistic idea of a decent society with less corruption and bullshit than what we have now.
I don't like the two-party system; it has proven ineffective. The system has failed and American citizens should learn to educate themselves more and make some changes. It will be a long time before any other political party is ever taken seriously, because of all the old fucks who are in power, making ill-opinionated decisions as if it were the fucking 1950s. That may be an exaggeration, oh well.

I just don't like people voting for someone solely for their opinion on abortion. It happens a lot where I live. Very anti-gay, anti-abortion, anti-everything rational. But I don't like forcing my opinions on others either. They can vote for whatever they want, but they'll get what they get.

Well, I understand completely because pregnant women have died from living in abortion negative places. They're actually trying to limit healthcare services to people who want them, from people who want to provide them. To me thats the ultimate way of forcing your opinion on someone.
