I'm surprised no one's made a program that uses fractals and a pseudorandom number generator to synthesize unique laughter in real time.

Why fractals?

Fractals are useful for generating large amounts of nature scenery quickly, so they might work for laughter too. Also, instead of having humans finding the funny points in a script, they should have an AI program parse the script to find the punchlines of jokes and automatically insert laughing where appropriate.
