Topic: Do you feel South Park "jumped the shark" after the Mohammed/Family Guy episode?

To me, it was significant because it was the first time South Park had tried to make social commentary and had been blocked and also ironic because Mohammed had been depicted at length in the "Super Best Friends" episode (which, incidentally is no longer available for viewing at southparkstudios.com, having been pulled ten years after its original airing).

If it was alright to depict Mohammed in July 2001, why is it not okay today? I know Trey and Matt had no control over the censorship of their episode, but to me it crossed a line and the show has not been quite the same since.

I dont believe that depicting Mohammed crossed any line that hadnt been already breached.

It wasn't the depiction of Mohammed that crossed the line for me, but Comedy Central's censorship of it.

No, i think they started to jump the shark after the warcraft episode, and had officially jumped the shark after the aspergers episode.

South Park still had it's moments after that episode and I thought it was episodes 200/201 which got the Mohammad controversy?
