Lolita is quite beautiful prose. But when i bought it i bought several other "classics" so i didn't look like i just wanted that one book. Turns out no one even blinked an eye at the register.

I will say that humbert humbert there used mountainmanian justification and rationalization to excuse his deplorable desires. Kinda funny in retrospect.

There is also a set of books set in the same universe called the Emberverse. After the event that took Nantucket back in time, all technology stopped working on the rest of the planet (in the modern day).

It's really funny because it's translated from Polish, so as well as learning about Siberian culture you can get a feel for Polish culture by how the author conducts himself.

Syrup is a satirical comedy of marketing and consumerism. It starts with a pitch to Coca-Cola for a new soda called Fukk (the book was written 7 years before Coca-Cola Blak) and it leads on to be about making a feature length advertisement for Coke.

They are going to make millions with the real-life movie if they managed to get a deal with Coca-Cola, though the book doesn't portray the company in the very best light.
