After the test comes out, and I get those letters after my name I'm going to "bump into" every single Engineer I met in college and shove it in their arrogant faces.

You're a glorified computer scientist.

Mechanical Engineers are glorified Physicists.
Biological Engineers are glorified Biologists.

Chemists are glorified --physicists-- drug addicts.

Will you be able to build bridges and skyscrapers now?

Just as much an electrical/biological/chemical/nuclear/petroleum engineer would. All fields have their own relevant areas.

EDIT: Probably set off some red flags with this post.

I guess the reason software engineering wasn't considered "real" engineering is because all the other fields have to do with physical phenomena whereas software is more abstract.

Also, what red flags?

Yes, apparently there was resistance for electronics engineering when it was new too.

OP

Surprised its taken this long. However here in San Diego area Software engineers are all employed and its such that Qualcomm for instance has to import H1B visa people from China Pakistan India by the 10's o thousands. Pay is most excellent - I R a Hardware Engineer who relies on some very good software Engineers. Few of them however have any background in Physics. A few with really great math skills are the ones I get along with and hire.

> Mechanical Engineers are glorified Physicists.

Disagree 100%

I R very good at Physics n very very very bad at Mechanical Engineering - ONCE Wrote myself up as a world class Robotics Consultant so I could get a World CLASS Consultant gig at a World Class Robotics company. My only personal failure EVER as an Engineer. They Loved me but I felt and was so fucking incompetent - To really do Robots one must be a Very great Mechanical Engineer more then an Electronics Engineer I B- Physicists, which I could and have been, do not have to do hands on work. Mechanical Engineers usually need to do some hands on.

Did come up with one hell of a Rocking Robot but it took ever ounce of energy 18 hour days 7 days a week for 6 months and exhausted me in total. Team thought I was great but I knew what a fuck up I really was.

No. Chris Chan has flags?

I was referencing the pickle in the flag you posted. Chris Chan is afraid of pickles.

No, this is the glorious Hammer & Pickle of revolution. I never got into the CWC trolling that much. Why the fuck is he scared of pickles?

Good thing Chris Chan is straight. Is he afraid of bananas?

Never heard anything like that. It's probably because he uses the word "pickle" as a euphemism for penis, like he uses "china" as a euphemism for vagina.
