I read some shit online and really want to try it. Experienced tea drinker, any suggestions for a noob about tea? (I'm American)

Have you considered all the benefits of coffee?

I just pour bailey's into coffee. That negates any positive effects. Tea is the way to go.

I have it on good authority from one of our trusted users that tea goes well with vodka.

Harney and Sons has some good tea called "Paris" tea. It's my favorite so far.

Tea is great. Green tea has immense anti-oxidant properties. Chamomile is great for helping you relax and sleep. St John's Wort is good for mild anxiety and depression. Regular tea has caffeine for perking up your naughty bum in the morning.
