I've been going to the gym lately. Like every other day. Anyway the back of my left arm really hurts when I bend it, I have circled the area in this picture. What is causing this? Have I pulled a muscle doing weight training or something? I've had a lot of hot baths, and nothing seems to help it. I don't know what caused this. I haven't done anything weird with my left arm (that I can remember).
I've had this for about 4 days. It's annoying now, my arm really hurts when I bend it! Is it a pulled muscle? What could it be and what can I do to fix this? Advice please.

So then it's a bad idea to do a standup gig at a medical convention?

This must be to do with my gym activity. Nothing else has changed and that was when the pain developed. Hopefully someone gives me advice instead of just implying it's due to masturbation....

I’m not a doctor.
Yes, it’s a simple soft tissue strain of some sort. Your arm muscles have to deal with more motion than other muscles, and so their pains and variances are different from low-motion, postural muscles.
You should avoid straining your left arm, gently move it around in its full range, and continue with rounds of 15 minutes each of heat and ice. You should be fully healed within two weeks.
How old are you? If you’re still in your teens, then you might heal faster.

I'm 18. I will continue to go to the gym and do my weight routine, will this affect recovery time? I'm not going to let this slow me down.

Well, you’re possibly setting yourself up for range of motion issues. I haven’t studied the inner details of sports medicine, just the anatomy and basic healing methods.
Just don’t try to “work through the pain,â€Â as that can make the injury worse, or cause issues with range of motion. You’re working against scar tissue, and continuing to work will make your body clean it up and straighten it out, but it‘s easy to go too far.

Okay, so your advice is basically "proceed with caution", and that I shouldn't do it if my arm is hurting too much? If so, that's good. I haven't encountered this pain in my arm whilst actually working out.

If it was bad/persistent enough that over-the-counter pain killers were having no effect, yes. That's what doctors are for. GIF related, it's me when you think doctors are there to not be visited when you're ill.
